Solar-Powered Water Tank in Diplo, Tharparkar
Diplo, a remote town in Tharparkar, faces a serious shortage of clean water. People, especially women and children, walk for hours every day just to collect a few buckets of water. Often, the water is not even safe to drink!
This daily struggle affects health, education, and overall well-being. Children miss school, women are overburdened, and many families suffer from waterborne diseases. Clean water is not just a basic need here — it’s a matter of survival.
We addressed the water shortage in Diplo by installing a solar-powered water tank system. Our solar panels capture energy from the sun to run a pump that draws clean water from underground sources. This water is then stored in a large tank for the community to use whenever needed. Because the system runs entirely on solar energy, it requires no electricity, making it a sustainable and reliable solution for this remote area.
